My wife and enjoyed a wonderful tandem kayak trip along the shore at Red Cliffs guided by Ethan Warden. Ethan did a wonderful job working with the group from novices to experienced kayakers. We would highly recommend using Makwa Den for you kayak outing!

We did a kayaking tour with Ethan this week and had a great time. He’s friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. We would recommend the two hour tour with him to anyone looking for a more accessible and very enjoyable experience on Lake Superior.

We had such a great experience on our first Apostle Islands sea cave kayak tour that we immediately booked a second, moonlight kayak tour. Unfortunately, smoke from the wildfires forced the second tour to be canceled, but the company handled the situation professionally and issued a full refund promptly. Our guide, Lily, was fantastic. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience safe, fun, and memorable. Even though we didn't get to experience the moonlight tour, the excellent customer service and our amazing first trip mean we'll definitely be back. Highly recommend this company to anyone visiting the Apostle Islands!

My friends and I booked a kayak rental through Rustic Makwa Den for my birthday and we had an absolute blast! Troy was a joy to talk to, and he even recommended nearby attractions to check out while I was in town. This place is a hidden gem, I hope to go back soon and book a tour next time. What I heard from the guide as we followed in their wake was very enlightening and the folks on the tours seemed like they had so much fun. Give Rustic Makwa Den a chance next time you're in Red Cliff for beautiful views, great people, and incredible service.

Wouldn't change anything about our experience! We were looking for a cheap and fun thing to do to be able to explore the coast and this popped up! Our tour guide was super personable and entertaining the whole time, the sights were beautiful, and it was super relaxing and stunning. Would highly recommend!
