Welcome to Local Eyes (localeyes.fun). Local Eyes is a local discovery directory that helps people find places, businesses, communities and experiences in the towns we cover. We are not a booking platform, we do not process payments, and we do not act as an agent for any listing. By accessing or using localeyes.fun you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Nature of Our Service

2.1 Directory Only

What we do:

• Publish listings, articles and guides about local places and businesses.
• Provide owners with a dashboard to manage their listing.
• Surface contact details, links and information supplied by owners.

What we do not do:

• Take or process bookings, reservations or payments.
• Act as a broker, agent or representative of any listed business.
• Guarantee the accuracy, availability or quality of any third-party offering.

3. Eligibility

To create an owner account you must be at least 18 years old, have the authority to represent the business or community you are listing, and provide truthful information. Visitors browsing the directory do not need an account.

4. Owner Responsibilities

• Accuracy. Keep your listing information current and truthful.
• Legal compliance. Operate your business in line with all laws that apply to you.
• Intellectual property. Only upload content (text, photos, logos) you have the right to use.
• Communications. Respond to enquiries from visitors in good faith.
• Account security. Keep your login credentials confidential.
• Content updates. Remove or correct outdated information promptly.
• Suspension & removal. We may suspend or remove listings that violate these Terms or applicable law.

5. User Responsibilities (Directory Visitors)

• Use the site for personal, non-commercial discovery purposes.
• Do not scrape, copy or republish listing data without permission.
• Treat business owners and other users with respect when making contact through information published here.
• Independently verify any details that matter to you (hours, prices, availability) directly with the business.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

The Local Eyes name, logo, site design, editorial content, code and compilation of listings are owned by Local Eyes and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce them without our written permission.

6.2 Owner Content

By submitting content to your listing you grant Local Eyes a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display and promote that content as part of the directory and in marketing materials referencing the directory. This licence ends for new uses if you delete the content or close your account, except for archived copies and prior published marketing that are impractical to recall.

7. External Links & Third-Party Services

Listings include links to third-party websites, maps and booking providers. We do not control these services and are not responsible for their content, availability, pricing or terms. Following an external link is at your own risk.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Local Eyes is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that information is complete or accurate at any given moment.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Local Eyes and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising from your use of the directory, including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to the directory will not exceed the amount you have paid us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim, or the equivalent of USD $100 if no payments have been made, whichever is lower.

10. Account Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the platform, post unlawful or harmful content, or remain inactive for an extended period. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

11. Future Premium Services

Local Eyes may, in future, offer paid services such as featured listings, subscriptions or priority placement. Those services will carry their own terms, which we will publish before charging anyone. Until then, listing on Local Eyes is free.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are interpreted under generally accepted contract principles. Where a dispute arises, we ask both sides to attempt to resolve it in good faith via direct communication before pursuing formal remedies. Nothing in these Terms removes any non-waivable rights you have under the laws that apply to you in your place of residence.

13. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the site. Continued use of the directory after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
