This place is an absolute gem! I've practiced all over Milwaukee and the community, class schedule/variety and overall vibe is unmatched! If you're looking for a place that makes yoga accessible for everyone but also honors and teaches the history, tradition and roots of yoga, look no further!

I fell in love with Moving Galaxy three years ago. I had just moved to Milwaukee and was trying out yoga studios all over the city. This one was by far my favorite. The owner Anna is the real deal - she has a deep, authentic practice and is an inspired/inspiring teacher. I love her playlists and poetry. She offers brief teachings on the sutras that never feel dogmatic. I’ve practiced yoga for 15 years and have a 200 hour teaching certification, and I always learn something new from her. Her students are a joy to work with as well. It’s a super welcoming studio.

Yoga teachers and studios are everywhere...so there's something for everyone. My introductory sessions (3 so far) at Moving Galaxy have been soul-nourishing and a beautiful expression of the practice. Grounded in yoga philosophy, each of the sessions have been about far more than the asanas, which appeals deeply to me. There's none of the hip adornments (distractions) to the studio. You come. You ground. You practice. You breathe. What a beautiful group of people and a welcoming space to practice.

I really love this yoga studio and community! The classes are varied and interesting, traditions and history of yoga are often discussed during classes, and all of the instructors are incredibly kind and inclusive. I also really appreciate that they participate in ClassPass. Highly recommend!

I finally found my yoga home that works with my schedule after moving back to Milwaukee! The vibes are on. There’s always friendly conversations and it’s easy to make some pals while feeling good in your body. The classes there run the gamut between a self-approved nap (restorative) or grunting and singing along to some awesome playlists while pushing your body to its limits (OMG) with flow classes and others offered in between. There is something for everyone and the instructors are all so thoughtful and kind. The membership price is reasonable if you plan on attending a couple classes a week, and they have several other pack and drop-in options. Check them out!
