I checked in at this location at 8:00 AM for my 8:30 AM appointment. The employee I spoke with, Rito, told me my appointment had actually been scheduled for 10:00 AM the previous day and that I would have to wait. I contacted my broker and was given a number to call. I spoke with Linda from Lindner Logistics, and she confirmed that my appointment was indeed scheduled for 8:30 AM. I went back inside and politely asked Rito if he could check the appointment number again because there may have been a mistake. Instead of checking calmly, he became extremely aggressive, started yelling, screaming, throwing things around, handed my BOLs back, and told me to get out. Thankfully, another employee, Tim, came outside afterward, told me to back into a dock, and said they would unload me shortly. I want to thank Tim for stepping in and handling the situation professionally. However, there is no excuse for the way the situation was initially handled. Drivers deserve to be treated with respect, and situations like this can be resolved professionally without yelling or creating a hostile environment.
