Most communities expect visitors
Services and gatherings are usually open. Arrive a few minutes early, sit toward the back if you want to observe, and follow what the room does rather than worrying about getting it right.
Dress and conduct
Modest clothing covering shoulders and knees works nearly everywhere. Shoes come off in mosques and many temples. Cover your head where head coverings are provided. Photography is usually fine outside, rarely fine during a service.
Times change more than you think
Service times shift with seasons, holidays and school terms. Check before travelling, and remember that the quieter midweek gatherings are often the easier introduction.
