Dead Johnnys

The Dead Johnnys are a tribute band based in Madison, Wisconsin, celebrating the music of seminal punk rock icons The Clash alongside other early punk tracks. Named after The Clash's song "English Civil War," the band formed in 2019 after guitarist Jim Goronson and bassist Travis Burleson bonded at The Parched Eagle brewery. The lineup was completed with the addition of guitarist Eric Sweet and drummer Buddha. The group performs across the Madison area, delivering high-energy sets of The Clash's classic hits and deep cuts.
