What a gorgeous park. Our site was right by a creek and was very level. The scenery can't be beat and the trails are wonderful. The only drawback in the boat landing campground was the big light by the pavilion.

Spacious and GRASSY sites. Quiet. Not a lot of natural cover, however. So bring something to cover tent. Spots by creek look like they can be prone to flooding, fyi. Bathrooms are a bit dank. Barely any staff, even over a holiday weekend. Close to Viroqua. Plenty of bike trails in the area. Ride Driftless!

At the end of October this campground seems to be pretty much abandoned? I had been here as a kid and wanted to return the check it out, I did do a little fishing and I caught a small Bass. The camping sites looked fine and firewood is available also.

We stayed at site 211 in the main campground area. Sites were extremely clean and well maintained. Grass was cut and the picnic tables are newer. This particular site had no trees and unfortunately an all-night light - might be helpful info for others trying to determine a site to select. We had no problems finding our site. We drove around the rest of the park during our stay and found signage to be ample as long as you pay attention to which campground you are selecting. The shower house has flush toilets. Those facilities were in good condition and overall clean during our stay. There are also vault toilets, but we did not utilize. WiFi was available at this part of the campground as well. Super close to conveniences of Viroqua. Was great for us traveling from a few states away that we could easily grab groceries when we arrived. Still far enough from town to enjoy the stars and quiet. Overall our stay was great and would definitely camp here again.
