Driftless Angler fly shop is the best! Severin Tubbin, Matt Bethke, and Jake Bethke are some of the best guides. Everyone at this shop is always great and very knowledgeable. The hospitality is always the best. I highly recommend Driftless Angler whether you’re new to fly fishing or an experienced angler.

We hired Nick from Driftless Angler for a half-day fly-fishing excursion, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Nick was absolutely fantastic: knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and a pleasure to spend time with on the water. My husband, Wolfgang, my son, Erik, and I were all beginners, and Nick made us feel comfortable from the moment we started. He took the time to explain techniques, answer questions, and help us improve our casting, all while keeping the experience relaxed and fun. Not only did we learn a great deal, but we also enjoyed the beauty of the Driftless Region and had a wonderful family experience together. If you're new to fly fishing or simply looking for a knowledgeable guide who truly enjoys sharing his passion for the sport, we highly recommend Nick and Driftless Angler. We couldn't have asked for a better introduction to fly fishing!

My daughter and I had a fantastic day with Kevin on a half day guided trip. The day started out rough with heavy wind but Kevin found the perfect water for us. Kevin was incredibly patient and took his time to help teach great technique. We caught a ton of fish as well! I truly cannot praise Kevin enough as well as the Driftless Angler fly shop, they were awesome.Can't wait to visit again!

My son and I spent half a day with Matt who has to be one of most patient people we've ever met. After teaching us the basics of fly casting he patiently guided us to the several spots on a beautiful driftless area stream showing us where to cast in the most productive spots. Not only did we catch a few brownies but he spent a lot of time, without complaint, untangling our lines several times and reattaching new flies. It was a memorable day. Matt definitely earned 5 stars.

I fished with Jake and had an amazing morning with him. Both he and Mat helped me get acclimated to the area and showed me several cool new flies that helped me be successful during my stay. I spent way too much money here but this is the place you need to go if you are new to fishing the region.
