I don’t normally review churches, but I had to leave a review because I was so impressed by the warmth and kindness of the priest. We came here for Christmas Eve mass last year while visiting my husband’s parents, and thoroughly enjoyed the music, architecture, and the message. This year we came back again - and the priest remembered us! I was so impressed by his combination of humor, thoughtfulness, and hospitality, and I deeply appreciate the church’s explicit welcome of ALL believers. The space itself is also beautiful: I enjoyed looking at the sacred art and hangings.

They are a welcoming church to all people (Jesus did not stutter; this includes LGBTQ+ people); the Eucharist is open to all who are baptized, and blessings are provided to those who decline communion. Their mission to help the poor, the sick, the elderly, and the downtrodden keep to the original spirit of giving encapsulated in the gospels. This church is not one of those holy-roller, prosperity ministries who only give passing lip service to the stated commands of Jesus; rather, they are committed to not just teaching the Christian liturgy… they also live it in the best way they can. We are new to the community, and with essentially no hesitation, both the rector and members of the church helped us out when we needed it. Seldom do I come in contact with Christians following the path Christ laid out, and here exists an entire community of such people. “Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” Jam 2:18 (ESV) Note that I'm not even a Christian — I'm a professed Buddhist — and I have seen their faith by their works.

I'm not interested in Churches. There is no longer a point in attendance there.
