Excellent service and delicious food. The fried chicken is always perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Ask for the spaetzle side in lieu of the other potatoes. Two soups, always interesting. The cheese dip in addition to the standard mustard is great for the pretzel appetizer. Jager schnitzel is always on point. The Friday night only fritters are amazing. No reservations so plan accordingly, especially on the popular Friday nights.

After a day exploring House on the Rock, this was a hearty meal at a delightfully local restaurant. The bar tenders were quick and friendly, as was our server. My grandfather who doesn't usually like anything 'different' cleaned his plate and decided it wasn't too bad. That is high praise from him. And the rolls before dinner - to die for. The portions were generous enough that we all took a little something home for tomorrow.

The food was excellent, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a huge Banquet Hall, a small gaming room with a pool table, an antique room, an outside area that looks like they do weddings. The staff is unbelievably nice. The food is excellent. They brought a knife, but there was no need for it, the meat was so tender, sauerbraten.

We went on a Saturday. The special was Prime Rib. As an appetizer we ordered the chicken livers wrapped in bacon. Absolutely fantastic. For our main course we had the Prime Rib ordered medium rare. Again absolutely fantastic. Nancy was our waitress and she was amazing. We can't wait to return.

The food here is always delicious, and the service is incredibly warm and welcoming from the moment you walk in. You truly feel like a guest, not just a customer. We took some time to walk around the restaurant and discovered a back area filled with unique and charming photos, which added so much character and made the experience even more special. By pure chance, we also met the owner and ended up having such a lovely conversation with him. He is genuinely kind, friendly, and passionate. This is a wonderful place to come with friends or family and truly enjoy your meal. Being here honestly feels like a little vacation to Germany or at least what I imagine Germany feels like, since I’ve never been. 🇩🇪✨
