Contemporary hotel with a Southern fusion restaurant and outdoor pool
The room was clean and comfortable. The room service was good but one of three elevators was out-of-order. It was an inconvenience because I was there with a conference of 450 people and the lines were long. The hill from the parking lot to to front lobby was very steep. For some people, you would need to use valet. Although, I did not see valet service while I was there.
Hotel is dated. They’ve updated the main level, pool, and bathrooms, but not the rooms. Mattresses are less than 8 inches thick, no microwaves in the rooms (must use the community microwave), stains on the curtains, and some of the outlets do not work. Thermostat adjusts on it’s on, like when you set the temp it’ll change by itself back to default within a hour. No coffee in the lobby is unfortunate. Just not quite what I was expecting. Staff is super friendly and helpful.
Plenty of parking on the lower level lobby. Right across from Crabtree Valley Mall. Lobby and pool area were beautiful. Rooms are small with limited storage for clothes. Room has small refrigerator. Microwave is out in the hall near ice machines. Microwave is shared with other guests. Checkout was an issue because there are very few carts given hotel size. Location is great, but hard to justify the room rates.
My son and I enjoyed our stay. The location is great. The service was slow. For example my report in my room was not functioning, I had to ask for an extra set of towels which I had to go and get for my room. There were other things but what made up for it was the warm reception when we arrived. I have a reservation for this location next month and will give a more detailed update after my stay.
I recently came here on Monday, June 8th for a women's conference in one of the Salons. The staff that I've encountered throughout the facility were pleasant. The lunch that was catered by the hotel was absolutely outstanding. Although, I didn't book a hotel room. I was pleased with the rest of the hotel's interior design. I would definitely come back again for business & leisure purposes.
