First time here for our anniversary. What a great place with a long history, including Pabst beer connections. The service was outstanding as was the food. Drinks were great. Emily the bartender was personable, friendly, and knowledgeable. She gave us some information on the history of the place which was really cool. Highly recommend!

Finally got around to trying this landmark venue this past March during the week of my older son's spring break. Just when I thought that we dined in at Wisconsin's oldest restaurant roughly 3 years ago in the small town of Wilmot, we were wrong.
Both were founded in the same year 1848 but the Red Circle Inn is in fact the oldest in the state. Anyways our first dining experience was a delightful one. With it's beautiful aesthetic, top notch service and wonderful food; RCI is an absolute must.
We went mid-week so the place was actually pretty dead with only maybe 3 other tables other than ours being occupied. Food was delicious, I went with the Beef Tenderloin with the Port Demi-Glace along with fancy mushrooms & baked potato and my wife went with the Chicken Marsala.
Obviously it's a fine dining restaurant so you know they have an arsenal of wine. The bar area is really nice, did have a cocktail myself. Truly a remarkable & memorable experience to dine in the oldest restaurant in the entire state. Interesting to find out that Frederick Pabst named the venue.
We were sorta doing a short tour of SE WI, we live down in Beach Park which is in NE Lake Co IL. if ever we plan on being in the area again which is likely, Red Circle Inn is definitely in. I certainly hope for decades of boomin' business to come for the owner(s).

Service was excellent. Red Circle has a classic old school supper club feel. It is cozy and if you leave hungry it is your own fault. The stroganhoff was superb. The French Onion soup was some of the best I have had. It is pricey but worth it for a nice dinner.

My wife and celebrated our silver wedding anniversary at Red Circle Inn (we were married in the upstairs hall before our reception). We were extremely pleased with the service (Austin), food and hospitality (Quentin). We were given complimentary champagne prior to an excellent meal. Afterwards we were provided access to the banquet hall to see the location of our wedding. Thank you Red Circle Inn.

My girlfriend and I we were talking about dinner ideas. Then I remembered seeing a lot in social media about Red Circle Inn, so I called and found out the bar seating was first-come-first-served, so we went straight there.
Attire is casual, and the space is beautiful! Lots of great classic photos, pieces of history, with some signs of updates.
We started with cocktails and apps: Sprecher Root Beer pork belly and classic supper club dishes Shrimp DeJonghe & French Onion Soup. All were delicious, but the French Onion Soup really stood out to me because the broth had so much flavor, and it was loaded with onions and a thick layer of cheese!
My gf ordered the entree special, a bone-in glazed veal chop over mushroom risotto, and I ordered a 12oz cut of prime rib because supper club. Her risotto was cooked to the right consistency and her veal chop was tender and delicious (of course I tried her dish!). My prime rib was perfect! It had great seasoning on its own, and the jus served with it took it to another level. I think it was the best prime rib I've ever had, definitely my current one that I'll compare others to.
It would have been smart to leave really full at this point, but we decided we couldn't pass on the Rhumchata bread pudding, and why not add tje dessert special Citrus Panna Cotta with fresh berries. Wow!
Yes, we took home leftovers, and yes, we had to be rolled out, but it was worth it.
We received excellent service from Quentin, and the GM Kyle was providing tours and history lessons, so we joined one.
You need to go! Our visit was 10/18/2025.
