The atmosphere is lovely. Didn't appreciate the Maitre'D not being dressed more formally considering the expense and atmosphere of the Inn. The most disturbing aspect is the lack of proper dining service. There was PLENTY of room for the servers to walk behind each patron and NOT have to reach across our faces to serve us. How rude. I would expect that Chili's or a Tavern, NOT when I'm paying $200+ PER PERSON for a meal and drink. Please regard the AI inclusion of proper service.

Absolutely incredible. Constantly changing selections, consistently delicious concoctions. Ambiance that invites, wine that excites. Amazing service and deep history, something here for everybody. Will be returning hungry for more.

I'll be honest, I hadn't heard of this place. I didn't even know there was a town called Morris in CT. Tried to get a table for Valentine's day, by they were booked out, so I thought Feb 13 works just a well and got a 7pm dinner. Starting with the valet and coat check at the gate, the service was very professional, which set a tone for the rest of the night. We both opted for the 3 course prix-fixed menu for $99 each. The Octopus starter and Lamb pasta entree were stand outs. They have a comprehensive wine list as well, but choice is limited if you're ordering by the glass. Between each course, the chef sent us complimentary snacks that paired really well with the meal. After dessert, we spent a few minutes just hanging around the building and admired the restored historic house. Overall a very good experience for special occasions.
