Serving classic and signature cocktails in a dive bar setting
We went there for the first time last night, and it will certainly not be the last. The staff is friendly, fun, conversational, and has the best vibes. We have never felt so at home at a bar as we did here - we can’t wait to go back and have this be “our place” where we can become regulars. It’s the perfect combination of dive bar and vintage atmosphere - loved everything about it (especially the people).
Stopped in because they had Jeppsons Malort. Bartender was cool and had a good soul mix playing. Cool dive bar, would spend too much time here if I lived in Milwaukee. The sign out front is fixed, and walking distance to downtown. Never felt sketchy like some other ones we visited while in town.
Did the bar look cute? Yes. Did the vibes seem nice? Yeah! But we’d never know, because everyone who arrived around the time we did were told they were at capacity (even though the place clearly wasn’t). After a several people left and a big group of bros were let in I tried again and the bouncer said they were at capacity. I at least finally got him to admit the rules were arbitrary as far as they were concerned because they were bending them based on who you are. Milwaukee has a ton of amazing bars—some of the best in the country! Don’t waste your time. They seem to have an arbitrary entry policy and there is nothing else in walking distance. Not worth the risk.
Cozy neighborhood dive bar with enthusiastic and friendly bar tenders. Solid cocktails! Clean bar space and a cute living room area. I would recommend and ill be back for several more drink!
Old Style in downtown Milwaukee is the kind of bar you stumble into and immediately feel like you’ve been coming there for years. The locals were incredibly friendly—within minutes, we were sharing laughs, learning a dice game we’d never played before, and watching the basketball game like old friends. The atmosphere is unpretentious, warm, and full of good vibes. If I lived in Milwaukee, this would absolutely be my spot. Special shoutout to Tina, who was a rockstar behind the bar—quick with a drink, a smile, and genuine hospitality. She made the night even better. Don’t miss this place if you want a true local experience.
