The service was amazing 👏 and the food was good overall, although the Caesar salad was surprisingly minimal compared with what was described on the menu. Unfortunately, what really changed my experience happened afterward. While I was washing my hands in the restroom, I saw an employee wearing an all-black outfit that looked like the kitchen team’s uniform leave the toilet area and walk straight out without washing her hands. Another woman was at the sink with me. We both looked at each other and laughed nervously in disbelief. I asked, “Did you see that?” and she replied, “Disgusting.” I can’t confirm the employee’s exact role, but based on her clothing she appeared to be part of the kitchen team. I also informed the person at the welcoming desk before leaving so the restaurant was aware. They gave me a Benson’s Rewards card offering $10 off a future visit, which I had actually planned to use. After witnessing this, though, I simply don’t feel comfortable coming back. When it comes to a restaurant, basic hand hygiene is not something I can overlook. It’s unfortunate because the service itself was genuinely excellent.

We stopped on our way to Summerfest as we weren’t feeling up to fast food options. Despite being a busy Friday night we were able to be seated at the bar. The wait staff did a good job making sure we were taken care of, the food was very good, and the atmosphere wasn’t overwhelming (not too crowded). We shared a Caesar salad, Gnocchi (seafood), and Bolognese (Brisket). A nice touch included a basked of warmed bread with Himalayan sea salt butter and or basil infused olive oil. I would definitely dine here again and I’m glad we walked past the crowds near the market to find this place.

We went to Onesto for Downtown Dining Week ($35 a person) and really liked the menu and was a great price. My wife and I split the appetizer and main meals so we can try multiple things in one sitting. We had the ceazar salad with fish -it was ok but not my preference to be honest The other option we tried was the pork belly (gluten free), which was absolutely perfect. It came out on a stone plate, and a nice presentation with a flavorful honeycrisp jam that really bolstered the flavor overall. I think it will be hard to top this resturants pork belly. Our main courses were the short rib risotto (gluten free) and the Rigate Alla Vodka (gluten free) While both main dishes were memorable and packed with flavor, my favorite was the Rigate by far. I dont know how they make the sauce so flavorful, but that is the best version of this dish that I have ever tried. The sauce is so good, I used the rest of the bread to get ever bite I could out of it. My one critique for the resturant, is they should invest in sound dampening because it was very loud in the restaurant and hard to hear the server but it was also packed in there.

My wife and I recently had dinner there for downtown dining week. The menu had great options and the food was DELICIOUS! Highly recommend the Short Rib and Rigate alla Vodka. I think my wife was ready to divorce me for that Short Rib. LOL!

Best Italian restaurant in MKE. The food and the service are excellent, whether at the bar or table, you’d definitely enjoy the experience. I ordered their Gnocchi and my partner had the Agnolotti. They both were wonderful, if you are into seafood. At the end of my meal I wished I could’ve turned back in time to the moment it all began because it was A M A Z I N G.
