What a beautiful, unique experience! Definitely found it to be worth the value (group of 6 adults at $10 each for non-resident). Visited on a Saturday afternoon with no prior reservation and was not overcrowded at all. Spent about 20 minutes in each dome: Tropical, Desert, Show. Enjoyed viewing all the different plants and learning about them. Saw visitors of all ages enjoying themselves. Would recommend for a nice activity in Milwaukee.
This place is utterly astonishing and was the high point of our trip. The staff were so wonderful and welcoming! The domes themselves were glorious! I will be recommending this far and wide! Big spot out to the young man at the front desk, whose name I missed. When he learned we'd never been before he gave us some pointers on how to have the best experience.
This place was fantastic! Randomly decided to go today because a friend was staying in MKE so we came down from Oshkosh to do something. This was super close to her hotel so it worked out perfectly. The best part was they had a Corpse flower bloom overnight. Once in a lifetime experience. All the domes are awesome and have lots of plants you can't find anywhere else in a single location. Staff is wonderful and knowledgeable. Will definitely return here again.
The Best Indoor Nature Area in Milwaukee🌴 My dad and I visited the Milwaukee Domes (Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory) last week while we were in town visiting my brother for his summer internship, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip!! As a first-time visitor, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I can honestly say I highly recommend it to anyone looking for unique things to do in Milwaukee. The three domes each offer a completely different experience, from lush tropical plants and exotic flowers to an impressive desert landscape filled with cacti and succulents. As someone who loves plants, botany, and nature, I found the conservatories absolutely breathtaking. The variety of plant life, beautiful displays, and immersive environments make it easy to spend several hours exploring. The Milwaukee Domes are also very family-friendly and accessible. Whether you're a plant enthusiast, photographer, tourist, or simply looking for an indoor activity in Milwaukee, I highly recommend checking it out. Before your visit, be sure to check their website to see if you get discounted admission. For example, Milwaukee County residents, students, and seniors all qualify for reduced ticket prices. They also host seasonal exhibits, special events, and educational programs throughout the year, making every visit a little different. Overall, this is a beautiful, affordable, and memorable Milwaukee attraction that I would gladly visit again.
I found this doing a "search" for interesting things to do in Milwaukee while on a trip from Naperville Illinois. Out of everything Google showed me, I must say this was my favorite!! When I walked into the showroom dome, it took my breath away. All three of these domes are magnificent and magical. I wished I lived closer so I could come often. I highly recommend for anyone to come and enjoy this site. The cost is not bad they are open as early as 9 am. I took dozens of photos here.
