Not Safe for truck Drivers. This is the worst place I’ve ever tried to pick up a load from in the 14 years I’ve been driving, and I can’t imagine ever encountering one that’s worse. The communication here is terrible. If it’s your first time and you’re unfamiliar with their procedures, instead of treating you with basic respect and explaining things, my experience was that employees escalated the situation into arguments and expected you to accept it. In my experience, instead of simply allowing me to leave, employees entered my truck without authorization, ignored basic boundaries, prevented me from leaving, and the situation became physical. I thought that would be the end of it, but it wasn’t. About 2½ blocks down the road, I was followed in personal vehicles and attacked again. I ended up in the hospital and had to undergo a CT scan. It felt like the only way to leave this place was in an ambulance. Afterward, I contacted the owner because I believed the incident deserved serious attention. Unfortunately, that conversation left me with the impression that my concerns were dismissed. Rather than feeling like my complaint was being investigated, I felt blamed, dismissed, and gaslighted. My overall impression was that there was little concern for what had happened to me or for the safety of truck drivers. What makes that especially disappointing is that the owner has publicly said that kindness is the most underrated business skill. Based on my experience, those words did not match how I felt I was treated. I also felt that race was brought into the discussion in a way that distracted from the facts of what happened. In my view, regardless of anyone’s background, violence is not justified. If you have a problem at this facility, I did not feel there was anyone willing to genuinely help or take responsibility.
