Lakefront grounds with 11 stages for annual music festivals
The German Fest was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed it so much. The last time we were here was 2018 and my pre house older brother Kenny was with us. Sadly he passed in May of this year 2026. So coming back was bittersweet but we had fun and he was witb us on spirit. Great food, great music and lots of culture, history and fun.
Good sound, pleasant lake breeze, plenty of security, main gripe would be traffic and construction, not really the venue's problem.
I was in town for business and needed to stay the weekend. Summer's had started and I went down to see what it was all about. $33 seemed a bit steep but everyone said it was a must see if I had the time. Well, it was really good. Lots of bands in the afternoon and Styx headlined the evening. Thebplayed over an hour starting at 9:00pm. And everybother stage (maybe 5) had acts still playing on my way out after Styx. Tons of people if you like to people watch, but it was not over crowded.
Nice walking area, quick and easy with a fishing dock. When you get to the lighthouse, you can turn around and go back the same way and circle in the peninsula. We went towards the parking lot thinking there would be some pathway but there isn’t really. Would be nicer to walk back into the water area where there is nature
Such a beautiful spot on the lakefront! Even when there isn’t a festival going on, it’s a great place to walk around, relax, and take in the view of Lake Michigan and the Milwaukee skyline. Lots of open space, clean paths, and a peaceful atmosphere. You can feel the energy of all the events that happen here, but it’s also calm and scenic when it’s quiet. Perfect for photos, a walk by the water, or just taking a break in the middle of the city. Stopped by to see the lighthouse on the lake, and it was definitely worth the visit. Beautiful views of Lake Michigan, the shoreline, and the skyline in the distance. It’s peaceful, easy to access, and a great spot for photos or just enjoying the breeze off the water. A simple but charming stop—especially if you like history, lakeside views, or just a quiet moment by the water.
