WE ARE NOT PARTICULARLY HD FANS We're not into Harley Davidsons or motorcycles at all for that matter, but while in Milwaukee, it seemed like the thing to do. Having visited the museum, (We spent 5 hours there, including lunch at the restaurant) I will say I 'get it' and have much more of an appreciation for the bikes and the HD community. LOCKERS AVAILABLE We purchased our tickets at the front desk and checked our bags and water into a locker (No need to have money for a locker). If you're visiting in the summer, don't leave your sweater in the locker as the museum was SO COLD! Restrooms are also in this area. WHAT TO EXPECT You will learn about the beginnings and history of HD, their rapid growth, learn about the different parts of the bikes, see hundreds of bikes through the years, see the progression of the HD logo, see a wall of different colored gas tanks (I loved this!) and be able to sit on some bikes. There are info boards to read and it never felt too crowded. ON-SITE RESTAURANT If you get hungry, there's a restaurant next to the river. There was a wait time, but we sat at the bar immediately. I will say, there weren't really healthy options on the menu. We had a burger. HARLEY GIFTS GALORE There's a gift shop across the 'campus' from the main museum. A/C TOO COLD Like I mentioned before, my main complaint was that the museum was WAY too cold, which made the experience slightly miserable. Other than that, it was very interesting and I'd recommend a visit. I'm now completely FASCINATED every time I encounter a Harley on the street! Date of visit: July 2026
