Neoclassical 19th-century brick church with an 1893 clock tower
What a beautiful church inside. You are my third church in town to photograph each being very different. I loved the crown of thorns and the cross in the middle of the church. Thank you for allowing visitors to come in and say a prayer and photograph your Building.
Came for my sister’s confirmation, and to be honest I think it’s a little underwhelming compared to St Josaphat’s Basilica in a few aspects, including the decor, the layout of seating, and the modernized sculpture of Jesus Christ. There is free street parking on Sundays nearby, or even an inexpensive paid parking lot on Van Buren St if you don’t want to struggle w/parking.
We were visiting the city and decided to visit here and it's a very beautiful church, unique and peaceful. Parking available for a small fee in the public street.
Beautiful architecture inside, there are free organ concerts that you can enjoy when you come and visit. This year, I came there for mass of priest ordination and thanks giving of election of Pope Leo XIV. Attended mass that presided by new elected Bishop Jeffrey Grab. The mass is always special with beautiful music, songs and very reverend. Make sure that you also check out arts inside and especially real relics of the twelve apostles. Those relics show connections and apostolic of Catholic faith from the beginning till now.
The heart of the Roman Catholic Church of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. It is not only a historical treasure but a spiritual vessel. The renovations a couple decades ago came with some controversy but it is a beautiful place of worship regardless.
