Made reservations for a group of 8 on a Monday morning (Labor Day / Cubs game day). Restaurant was very busy, so reservations were certainly necessary. Waitress was very friendly, and atmosphere was very fun/nice. However, we did wait about 75 minutes from the time we were seated to when we actually got our food despite ordering drinks/food at the same time. -Beignets with Chocolate Sauce (pretty good) -Southside Bloody Mary (tasty) -Milwaukee Bloody Mary (tasty) -Cobb Salad with Chicken (good, as to be expected) -Fajita Hash Bowl (delicious) -Frites with Ranch + Siracha Mayo (fine but wouldn't order again) Overall, we felt the prices/value were good, loved the atmosphere, but may need to allow plenty of time for your visit.

This is a fantastic place to go! We loved sitting on the rooftop so much we went back 3 times. We had breakfast and lunch during a 3 day stretch. The cocktails were all amazing and we tried several Bloody Mary choices. The muscles were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Great experience all around.

I don't know what book or video they got the recipe from for the beignets from but the book might have been burnt or the video watch in 140p. Beignets are supposed to me light, airy, fluffy. Basically joyful. These dough balls tasted like soft dense pretzelsin powdered sugar. They were very heavy and fought on the inside and then they roll them in powdered sugar. Ok, but then you do to dip that in the thick chocolate dip, which if you ever dipped anything covered into powder into a liquid, you know what happens. Nothing. The powder goes into the dip. If you are looking for beignets or think these are them, please find another place. Check reviews and pictures for them as you can tell the difference. We also had the french toast which was ok, but the orange honey butter tasted very strong of orange extract or orange oil. It was very potent and you could not tell there was honey it.

Had brunch at Café Benelux we sat on the rooftop patio, which was a nice atmosphere. The Beignets came out hot and fresh. I had the hodgepodge. It was a generous serving and between the chorizo gravy and the sausage it had a nice little spice to it. My wife had the cinnamon French toast and my daughter had the ham and cheese omelette. Both got good reviews. Since you were in Milwaukee, I had to have a bloody Mary. I had the Milwaukeean Bloody and the horseradish infused vodka gave it a nice little kick. Our server Madison A was excellent.

I have t been back ti Milwaukee in years and glad ti see my favorite breakfast spot is still doing well. No wait on Memorial Day got a dog friendly table outside. Service was great and the food even better. I had the chicken and waffles which were fantastic this was the only bar in Wisconsin that didn’t make a bourbon ol fashioned as a mix drink and I was so happy would have had 10 if I didn’t have to drive home to Minnesota. Can’t wait to be back
