Milwaukee public beach with volleyball courts and sand
Poop!!! You heard me right. There are piles of poop on the beach because they allow the sewers to drain without being treated first into our beautiful lake! This is absolutely disgusting and I call for a Plan Of Action!
A decent public beach close to the city 🏙️ While visiting my brother in Milwaukee, my dad and I decided to stop by Bradford Beach to cool off. My mom used to lifeguard here during the summer and we’ve heard good things about it. It's a decent beach with restrooms, volleyball courts, and a small restaurant nearby. Nothing particularly special compared to some of the beaches in northern Wisconsin, but I can definitely see why it's popular with Milwaukee locals and college students on hot summer days. A couple downsides: parking can be rough when it's busy (especially with the construction), and there are swaths of washed-up zebra mussel shells near the water that can be sharp on bare feet.
Really nice beach with soft sand and plenty of space to spread out. There are picnic tables throughout the area, and it's easy to find a spot whether you want to be near others or have a little more privacy. The beach has a bar and grill near the entrance with a good variety of food at reasonable prices, plus lots of outdoor seating. There are also restrooms, showers, and a playground nearby, which is great for families. The parking area is large, and the beach is pet-friendly. I also noticed people fishing and walking along the shore, which added to the relaxed atmosphere. Overall, it was a great place to spend the day. Clean, spacious, and enjoyable for all ages. Definitely worth a visit!
Great beach with nice sand and picnic tables, also has a bar and grill at the entrance with a large selection of food for a good price and a large area with tables and chairs for eating outside, showers and bathrooms up at the concession/bar/Grill building, nice playground for kids near the grill building, at least four different areas with picnic tables spread out down the beach, pet friendly, and a very large area for a room and privacy if you don’t want to be next to people. Large parking area also. A peninsula far to the left and a pier far to the right with it looks like a good area. You could possibly try fishing, I saw a couple people with fishing poles, walking down the beach. Also seen a guy with a metal detector walking around searching for treasures. :) hope this helps! Great time and great people and even had a guy pull up with a side-by-side and give us a ride so we didn’t have to carry all of our stuff down the beach, which was a huge help and offered him a tip, but he refused and later we saw him driving more people around. This was a beautiful beach. Lots of room. There are tons of volleyball courts. They have public restaurants close by. (They were well used but not dirty. They had a couple of tiki bars and a snack shack as well.
