Very organized and kind of cramped space wise, but very nice staff. You check-in, show ID, and when your number is called, you get to "shop" with a grocery cart, in their tiny but organized, great small room then you walk around to get your frozen and perishable items like chicken breast and shredded cheese. I recently was thrilled to get 5 tomato plants and some serrano pepper plants for free! I also got very fresh produce and was especially happy to get a huge bunch of fresh, long rhubarb stalks which I ate the next day with the fresh strawberries. You can only shop once a month, but this location is so positively one of my favorites because I appreciate how fresh everything is. None of that old expired junk I got at one pantry on the Southside. Go here and enjoy bay view hospitality.

Very few options in terms of the basics, vegetable oil, eggs, milk, butter, potatoes & flour tortillas cook. Too many odd canned foods and not targeted to meet the growing Latino community it serves with Pinto beans, tortillas, rice.

This location has helped out a lot of people who have been down on their luck, I know becausei was one of them. Sometimes it's important to put your ego aside and ask for help. If you need it they will help you.
