We had a reservation and were seated right away. Waiter came for drink order soon, but did not return for our orders for over half an hour, not even for an appetizer order. Was ridiculous. We had 8 in our party and my parents go there all the time. Not sure if the kitchen was backed up and was just not taking orders or what the delay was. Im sure we spent over $800 there. The food was interesting and well presented, but nothing special. Dessert, creme brulee was excellent. The view was nice of the lake from the porch. Plan to spend hours there. Next time I'm in town, maybe I will ask the parents to select a different restaurant. Was crazy to wait so long to have our food order taken, in my opinion, especially with out an explanation for the excessive delay.

Lake Park Bistro has that classic French restaurant feeling where the atmosphere is a big part of the experience. The dining room feels elegant but not uncomfortable, like a place where you can come for a special dinner but still actually relax and enjoy yourself. The view around the area also adds to the whole experience because it feels removed from the usual busy city pace. I went with the French onion soup, steak frites, duck confit, and finished with a crème brûlée. The French onion soup was probably the first thing that stood out because it came with that deep, slow-cooked onion flavor and a generous layer of melted cheese. It was simple, but it had the kind of richness that makes you want to take your time with it. The steak frites was cooked nicely with a good balance between the tender steak and the crispy fries. The duck confit had that softer texture and deeper flavor that makes it different from everyday dishes. The crème brûlée was a nice way to end the meal, especially with the crackly sugar top and smooth custard underneath. What I liked most was that nothing felt rushed. The whole dinner had a slower pace, where you could actually talk and enjoy the food instead of just eating and leaving. It felt like a restaurant built around enjoying the evening.

The food was quite tasty, but the onion soup didn't arrive very hot, and some of the potatoes that came with the main course were hard. I arrived relatively late, but still during the hours when reservations were possible. The pace of serving dishes was fast. They set the table for me every time before I finished the previous dish, and as soon as I finished the dish, the next dish came out. Towards the end of the meal, they started to tidy up the restaurant as if I wasn't there, and it was really unpleasant.

This lakeside view is exquisite, and the French restaurant serves excellent food. A must-try, well-designed for a romantic dinner overlooking the lake, with seating right next to the window. Reservations required, bar setting, attentive staff. Highly recommend.

Great experience at the Lake Park Bistro. The service was excellent and professional. The ambiance was romantic and immerses you into a French bistro. The SOUPE À L’OIGNON was amazing the Gruyère cheese added extra flare. My fiancé got the salmon which was delicious, but the Grilled Hangar Steak with the red wine shallot butter was out of this world. Perfectly crisp on the outside and a buttery medium rare on the inside. This was the perfect anniversary date night highly recommend.
