Rabbi Joel Alter is an asset to his congregation. He is skilled in Talmud, rabbinics, and simple common sense about how to make halacha, Talmud Torah, and life, relatable to young Jewish millennials and younger, as well as their non-Jewish peers. If you're in Milwaukee and shopping for a good shul and a great rabbi, I'd encourage you to go with Ner Tamid, even if you're Reform and not normally inclined toward Conservative spaces. 5 stars.
