Good place to have a view of the Lake Monona. This is from the 6th floor. The lower floors have a convention centre & exhibition hall. The lowest floor is for parking & a fishing point for enthusiasts especially at night. It gives the closest view to the lake. Most of the drinking water fountains are not working.

Great time at Candlelight at Monona Terrace. Beautiful set up and enjoyed classical quartet from beginning to end.

I find it a beautiful place with nature view on one side and Madison skyline on the other. It deserves both names garish white whale and architectural cornerstone. Even it it were created for moneyed conventioneers, would you care more sitting on a nice free chair on the terrace overlooking Lake Monona ("beautiful")?

First time visiting Monona Terrace and it was such a beautiful experience! The building’s architecture is stunning, with Frank Lloyd Wright’s design giving it such a unique charm. The views of Lake Monona from the rooftop garden are absolutely breathtaking—perfect spot for photos and just soaking in the scenery. Everything felt clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. I also loved how close it is to the Capitol building, making it easy to explore both in one trip. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Madison!
