After years of frequenting the Grand Geneva, a recent string of highly disappointing customer service encounters permanently warranted us to take our patronage elsewhere. We expect to be treated with basic professionalism and respect, and unfortunately, our former destination fell incredibly short of luxury standards. The property is in desperate need of a modern update, and they frankly should not be charging luxury prices for an aesthetic that remains stuck in the 1990s. Seeking a new premier retreat, we decided to give the Lodge Geneva National a try.We check in tomorrow, and I am already thoroughly impressed. I called the front desk today to confirm our arrival preparations and ask a few operational questions, and the level of service was exemplary. The representative was incredibly accommodating, professional, and genuinely welcoming. As business owners who operate a successful restaurant chain in the Chicagoland area, our family understands the hospitality industry inside and out. We know exactly what it takes to deliver exceptional service, and it is incredibly refreshing to witness a team execute it so flawlessly. We cannot wait to arrive tomorrow and experience everything this beautiful property has to offer. We are highly optimistic that this will become our permanent, primary getaway destination from the Chicago area. Kudos to the team for making an outstanding first impression!
