Awesome supper club. Loved the long curving driveway through lush forest back to the supper club and lake. Very long wait - we arrived at 5:10 and waited for nearly 3 hours. Recommend just planning to chill-there are a bunch of bars and seating areas. We got apps and drinks while we waited. Enjoyed the escargot, bourbon old fashioned-sour, blue cheese wedge, and au gratin potatoes. Steak was really good not quite great. And grasshoppers to end. A must when in Wisconsin.

Talk about wowed! What a great, fun, atmosphere in a good "ol' fashion" Wisconsin supper club!!! Speaking of which their old fashions are outstanding...gotta have one if you like to drink. Met the owner...nice guy. And the server was top notch! Had walleye bites, cheese curds, the prime rib and lobster meal, talk about yummy lol and for dessert, blueberry cheesecake...Absolute decadent deliciousness! My first time there with hopefully more times to come...but be warned you need to go early and get in line as they do not take reservations and you are paying for a higher end experiences and food! Highly recommend this treasure.

I rarely use the word “amazing” in my reviews, but this truly was. The setting, the restaurant, the staff, the drinks, the food and the deserts were all above and beyond. The restaurant itself is built on edge of Mirror Lake in the Wisconsin Dells. Plenty of trees provide shade and lots of places to wait for your table to be ready. Speaking of, they do not take reservations. Locals say you can expect to wait up to two hours. While you wait there are many places to relax and take in the beauty of the setting. (Note: you are in the woods in Wisconsin, you might want to wear your bug spray.) We were there on a Wednesday night in May and waited only about 15 minutes. While you wait, you must indulge in one of their famous Old Fashioned’s. They claim it is #1 in Wisconsin. I do not typically drink brown liquors. But I thoroughly enjoyed the Ishnala Old Fashioned. All of the staff are thoroughly trained in fine dining. Every staff member we passed on our way to our table welcomed us to Ishnala and wished us a pleasant dinner. They were very attentive with my aunt’s walker , wrappers from the crackers on the table, drinks and our food. We did not have appetizers, which later my cousin scolded me for not having the blue cheese escargot. Apparently it is next level. And it sounds like it. I had the Wisconsin half duck. I enjoy duck whenever I can. It was one of the best I’ve ever had. Others at the table had the fried shrimp, the fillet, and the Oscar salmon. All were reportedly quite delicious. I also upgraded my salad to the wedge blue cheese salad. Again, delicious. For dessert, I had the peanut butter cheesecake. My aunt and Cousin shared the blueberry cheesecake. And my other cousin enjoyed the grasshopper. As far as Wisconsin supper clubs go, this is a must visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, our drinks and our meal. Our bill for four people was reflective of the type of service and the quality of the food we had. Though it is pricey and great service, the dress code simply says “no swimsuits.” They want you to be comfortable and casual while you enjoy a great dining experience.

The property is absolutely stunning, nestled in the wooded beachfront of Mirror Lake. The restaurant itself has amazing interior design and craftsmanship that makes for a cozy cabin feel. The drinks and food were amazing!!! From the complimentary cheesespread, to the appetizers, and entrees- everything was delicious. Desserts looked great but we didn’t try any. Service was top tier- all the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The owner even came to our table to introduce himself and make sure everything was satisfactory. I can see why this place is a destination location for diners across the state.
