First time at the Black Otter and all I can say is bring your appetite!!! We had the queen cut of prime rib and the seafood platter and took enough delicious food home for 3 more meals ! Our server Alissa was outstanding. Bar service was outstanding. The soup and salad bar was awesome. We are from Illinois and will definitely be back again.

Enjoyed a first time visit to the Black Otter, seems to be quite popular. They have a quick check in process, and a good sized bar area for waiting. Lots of different steak, fish, and chicken selections with specials on different days. The dining areas are clean and intimate if not a bit busy. The salad bar with staff to make your salad and soup is unique. Enjoyed the haddock and a petite tenderloin with salads and a cup of each soup. Service was very attentive. Pay with cash discount available

32oz prime rib (excellent) with baked potato,(sourcream-excellent). Soup from salad bar - excellent. NO reservations...first come first serve. Stand in crowded bar area with menus 30-45 minutes (very limited sitting). Server takes order in bar area. Seated at table. Go to salad bar(soup & potato salad very good, rest-just average). Appropriate time, food arrives. ALYSSA, server excellent. Grasshopper (drink) excellent. Son got free shot and cheesecake for his birthday being within last week, pleasant surprise! Would highly recommend this place for food and service quality. Downside (STANDING and waiting, and feeling rushed at end to leave, so someone else could have our table)

Hands down the best supper club I have ever been to. They were incredibly busy which is a good sign especially when that didn’t cause the quality or service to suffer. When we arrived we were able to wait by the bar and enjoy drinks while we looked over the menu’s. Alyssa greeted us and took our order and showed us to our table. From there we had access to their soup and salad bar. I’m not typically a salad person but this was delicious! We all came for the prime rib and it did not disappoint. The cut was amazing and cooked perfectly! Very tender and flavorful. Despite the busy atmosphere Alyssa was extremely attentive if we needed anything, never brushing us off or making us feel like a bother. She was the cherry on top of our experience we loved her! And of course it wouldn’t be a true supper club dinner without a grasshopper dessert drink. Over all 10/10 will be back!

We had an incredible meal with amazing service!! Had a large group of 10 and separate tickets. No complaining by staff. They serve you through the salad/ soup bar which was really nice not have everyone's hands all over handles, etc. Very professional. The queen cut prime rib was approx 32 oz, I literally had like 7 meals. The atmosphere is very warm, charming and inviting. Good old fashioned super club vibe. Highly, highly recommend!!
