Small but gorgeous Park. We started at the petroglyphs and then took the acorn Trail cut across on the Chickadee Rock and Mound trails before rejoining the acorn trail. At the end there is the beautiful Carter Creek which has a few picnic tables. The road is a one way loop with pullouts for the petroglyphs, historical markers and the stairs to the top of the mound. I had my greyhound with me so could not climb to the top of the mound or stop by Carter Creek as dogs are not permitted on the stairway or picnic areas.

Fire your current campground host!! Bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. Like they haven’t been taken care of in months. The campgrounds weren’t even full and by Saturday afternoon, there were 12 empty toilet paper rolls. Dumpster was overflowing already on Friday. Putting weekend trash in there was impossible. Trash was all around the dumpsters because there was no room. Worst maintained campground I’ve ever been to. Park its self is fantastic. 303 stairs up to a beautiful view. Highly recommend talking the time to explore the park but came elsewhere. There are platforms and benches to rest on as you go up and when you get to the top. Took about 15 minutes, with rest breaks, to get to the top. Worth it!!! Explore the park. Camp elsewhere!!

Went here on a hike for my bachelorette! It was easy to get your parking sticker, they took tap to pay! Beautiful hiking, well-marked trails. Grass trails were mowed. The hike up the 303 stairs was a great workout but not as bad as expected! Multiple benches on the way up. A beautiful view from the top. There is a creek that runs through that you can see as well!

Beautiful state park. The trails are marked very well, most of them in flat area but there’s one what takes you on the top of the rock and it is 303 stairs up. You can take a break on climbing on nicely situated benches. Other trail are in the forest , all you can hear is a beautiful birds singing. There are two picnic areas with a drinking water and restrooms.

Its an amazing park! I've been coming here since I was a kid. The mound with a little over 300 steps is a highlight, the top is a beautiful overlook of the area especially seeing the trees in the fall for many along with the petroglyphs which are really cool and chickadee rock is a way smaller roochecri mound they they allow free climbing. they're campgrounds with grills, a decent couple playgrounds, bathrooms, waterbubblers, a small creek. Its also dog friendly on leash, its really a nice park. its great for locals and people visiting family or in the dells-Steven's point area. always recommended!!!🥰🏞 you can get a sticker for your car and go in for free I believe, we have a property in adams and we just walk through the woods even in off season and they're are usually others doing the same, as long as you pick up after yourself since they're no rangers or anything they let people use the trails.
