This big corporation is taking $480 from the everyday person for a one night stay June 22. My room was very cheap and I have seen section 8 that is nicer than this. Our toilet had a problem with the drain waste system. It did not flush totally and I’m pretty sure I smelled the sewage too. Our room Lacked amenities and was very cheap quality and our room cards didn’t work and the vending machine didn’t work. I feel these room rates are worth less than half of what they gave me. Surprisingly, one of the cheapest quality hotels I’ve ever seen and it’s at an insane rate. we will paying less per night in Hawaii next week.

This hotel is absolutely not clean. I had to rinse out my shower before getting in and should have seen that as a red flag. After pulling the curtain closed, a used, crusty, washcloth fell into the shower. It was most definitely NOT mine. My room also smells like mildew and the furniture is beat up and torn.

Comfort inn in East hartford is the best hotel I been in around this area. The staff is super nice esp. Mark at the front desk and the girls that work at night. They help you with whatever you need and even listen to you if your just talking. Very clean and well kept. I suggest this hotel if your looking for a place to lay your head! 5 stars all the way

As we checked in, we were greeted politely and promptly given a room. The front desk personnel was standardly nice. However, while we were entering the second level of the hotel where our room was located, we saw numerous non-smoking signs, but we smelled a strong scent of tobacco and weed. We entered our room, and while browsing, noticed men shorts next to the window's curtain. We were disturbed. House cleaning obviously didn't do their job properly if they didn't notice while cleaning, and we noticed it within 2 minutes of entering the room.
We went downstairs to ask to switch rooms. The front desk personnel apologized and quickly gave us another room. The new room didn't have other guests' clothes laying around, but we noticed belatedly gum on one of our comforter, hair still plastered in the shower's walls, immense dusts on almost every surface (such as the lamps, tv, etc ), the bathroom smelling like weed, the beds were sunked in the middle, etc. It is not what I would call a clean hotel. The room was also very unattractive and outdated.
However, as we were already unpacked and exhausted from our roadtrip, we decided not to switch rooms since we guessed that all the rooms would be in such an array.
The cons overweight the pros for us. (Listing the pros: free parking for your car, decent staff, free basic breakfast, and managable space to rest your head for one night). Therefore, we wouldn't suggest this hotel for its price nor cleaniness.

This is my second time staying at this hotel. I forgot about my first experience until I got here.
Front desk staff especially morning shift are extremely rude, they act as if you’re bothering them even though you paid your money in order for them to be paid. Very rude staff here.
I noticed also that all the employees have a problem with phone use. The front desk staff especially the puffy hair guy would much rather be on his phone then tend to guests properly, when I approached he acted as if I was interrupting his scrolling.
The Vending machines don’t have anything in them besides CocaCola, no water or anything uncaffinated. I asked the front desk for water and told them the issue the first guy LIED and said they don’t have anything in the back and the audacity for of the second person when I came back at 4am out of my sleep, they lady said they had some somewhere in the back came back and charged me over $3 for 2 water bottles…. They could have just gave them to me at that point ,that’s an inconvenience on the hotels part It was like 4am and YOUR vending doesn’t have WATER !
Breakfast was disgusting both days.
The potato’s were hard, undercooked and had a freezer taste.
The eggs were extremely mushy, almost like mashed potatoes… I literally spit my food back out. Hotel eggs with hot sauce on bread is usually a solid choice, in this case I’m now traumatized. Never again.
The breakfast lady stood in the breakfast room on the phone the entire time, having a loud personal conversation . No wonder the breakfast is terrible.
And finally, I asked for a 1pm check out as I had airport pickup arrangements. I was told 12 was the latest. He was rude about it and told me “well That’s on you” excuse me? and As a Diamond member and former Comfort inn choice hotel employee, apart of being a diamond member is having the perk of a late 1pm check out. So this property does not honor Choice rewards program. When I checked in they did not add my points to my account neither . Honestly there are plenty of places better and cheaper. I didn’t expect such a disappointing Choice hotel experience.
