I have stayed at this hotel 7 times and every time it has nothing short of fantastic. I have also stayed at 4 other 4 star resorts on the main Clearwater beach and Marriott sand key still is better. This is why I love it. The staff are all so friendly and accommodating. My flight arrives around 9:30am and they somehow always have a room ready. The room itself is awesome, I never pack a pillow, or shampoo and conditioner because theirs is great, the fold out couch is legitimately comfortable even for an adult. We love having two tvs so adults don’t have to watch bluey on vacation. Free rides on jolly trolly, and two beach chairs included at the peaceful sand key beach😍. Madison Ray who puts on the kids entertainment also free, she is amazing! I love getting a break multiple times a day at the pool by Madison doing shell painting, limbo, water balloon toss. Her activities appeal to all ages and you can still see your kids while they do the activities which I love. Also inside the restaurant Scott James the server from Sweetwater Tennessee is so entertaining and phenomenal that we chose to eat there two nights in a row just to experience the dinner with a comedy show. The food onsite both by pool and inside is in my opinion the best in all of Clearwater. We will be back.

The resort itself is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. The rooms were comfortable, the staff was friendly, and the location on Sand Key is excellent. My biggest disappointment was the pool. We stayed for six nights, and on four of those days the pool was closed on and off due to weather. I completely understand that guest safety has to come first during lightning or severe weather, and I don't fault the staff for following those policies. However, when you're paying resort prices and a resort fee that includes access to amenities like the pool, it's frustrating to lose access for such a significant portion of your stay. While the weather isn't the hotel's fault, I believe management should consider offering some type of goodwill gesture in these situations—such as Marriott Bonvoy points, a resort credit, or another form of compensation for guests who miss out on amenities they paid for. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider returning, but I hope management finds a better way to recognize guests when weather significantly impacts the resort experience. Steer clear of Stephan and Steve.

I had an outstanding experience at this Marriott, and a huge part of that was because of Jackson. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond in every way. He helped bring all of our bags up, and when we needed a ride back from Sand Key Beach, he personally came and picked us up. That level of service is incredibly rare these days. What really stood out wasn’t just what he did—it was how he did it. Jackson was friendly, professional, genuinely caring, and made us feel like valued guests instead of just another room number. He anticipated our needs, had a positive attitude the entire time, and made our stay significantly more enjoyable. Employees like Jackson are the reason people return to a hotel and recommend it to others. Marriott is fortunate to have someone who represents the brand with such pride and professionalism. He deserves to be recognized for his exceptional customer service, and I sincerely hope management acknowledges his hard work. Team members like Jackson are exactly the kind of leaders who should be promoted. Thank you, Jackson, for making our stay memorable. We truly appreciate everything you did for us.

We had our rehearsal dinner and wedding week at the resort and it was AMAZING! All of our guests from around the world said it was the best week ever. The staff we encountered were incredibly nice and accommodating when we kept having huge parties at breakfast, they pulled up tables and made us feel right at home. Rehearsal dinner was gorgeous on the watercolour deck, and the 2 waitresses we had were super nice and attentive. The booking & planning process for the whole week were made incredibly smooth by Brandon and Joanna. They were easily reachable by phone and were so so nice the whole week. The front desk staff was also fantastic with free water bottles, early check-in, and late check-out! They made our experience so relaxing since we didn't have to rush away and could instead lounge by the pool with a frozen drink in hand. They moved all the pool furniture off the veranda so we could take our wedding photos there, and let us wrap the main staircase with florals for photos. I can't recommend this hotel enough for weddings/vacations. We had a blast and will definitely be back in the future. Thanks again Brandon & Joanna!!!

This was a great resort. We’ve stay at several resorts in the past and while this wasn’t the fanciest we had a great time. The value of money spent to quality was great. The rooms were spacious and clean and had good views. They had vouchers for 2 beach chairs and an umbrella which is great for people flying in. The customer service was fantastic. We reserved a cabana by the pool. Our Waiter was great. At the last minute we asked if they had any balloons for a member of our groups birthday. They worked their magic and in a matter of 15 minutes got balloons, printed a small sign for our cabana and announced their birthday as they walked into the pool area. Would definitely come again.
