Public library and recreation complex in Clearwater Beach
Our public library is a small but important staple in our community. You will often find people of all ages playing basketball on the courts. Bring a ball and come over for some hoops. Located just a couple blocks from the main road along the channel side sea wall.
Clearwater Recreation Center offers a wonderful wedding setting with its beautiful outdoor ceremony area. The attentive staff ensured our day was perfect from start to finish. This is a perfect location for being near the beach and on a waterway!
The center has a "mixed recycling" blue barrel. Last March this was kept outside near the main entrance. This March it stands in a lobby nook and staff do not allow visitors to use it, instead sending us to a City wire garbage car across the street. Please return the blue barrel to its original outdoor place.
Wonderful place for a wedding reception. The catering service was wonderful. The attendant in the lobby was an angel helping me as a disabled person in a wheelchair. As far as the restroom is concerned , I was not happy that the trash barrel was in the corner under the diaper changing table where I had to throw a wet pad and it landed on the floor. I couldn't get it because it was under the changing table and I am in a wheelchair. Rethink the location of the trash barrel in the bathroom. Otherwise it was a perfect day.
