The Bait House was easily one of our favorite food stops in Clearwater! It was recommended to us by a local, and he was spot on about this place! We started with the Drunken Shrimp, and it was absolutely delicious — 5/5. The sauce was rich and flavorful, and dipping the bread in it was probably my favorite part. I ordered the Island Tacos with blackened shrimp, and OMG… AMAZING! Another 5/5! The shrimp were seasoned perfectly, the tacos were fresh, and everything was packed with flavor. And the view?! 😍 We had a great waterfront view while we ate, watching the boats go by with the beautiful Clearwater scenery in the background. It really completed the whole experience. Great food, laid-back waterfront atmosphere, beautiful views, and excellent vibes. The local recommendation did NOT disappoint!

Get the drunken shrimp. I was licking the bowl I was halfway done before I remembered to take a picture. This is a great local spot in Clearwater that everyone must try. My wife and I loved it & will be back every time we visit.

We had a great time here. The best time to go is about 7:45-8:00 in the summertime so it’s not too hot and the breeze keeps you cool. We got the drunken shrimp and the burger and both were amazing. We finished off with the key lime tart which was delicious! We’re visiting from out of town, but would definitely come visit again.

Talk about Nirvana! We drove 6 hours to soak up the atmosphere here at the Bait house. The views are absolutely stunning even with the new construction going on. I highly recommend anything on the menu but if you want to taste heaven try the Drunken Shrimp. The slow velvety heat in bourbon reduction will have you scraping the bowl clean. I love the catch of the day options and the smoked whitefish was a great addition to any meal. Now if I could only bottle that and take it home.

Came to the Bait House for a late lunch. The food is simple and tasty. Katrina was a great server. Very friendly and helpful with the menu selections. We ordered the seared tuna nachos and seafood cakes. We were happy with both. A solid lunch spot if you’re in Clearwater, Florida. There’s also a nice view and fresh air.
