Enjoyable. Know what it is and what it isn't. It is not a place with leg busting ups and downs, but it is a very well maintained set of trails that work well for backpackers and day hikers. Friendly for kids (and even your dog) - the trails are well marked and roll along the up and downs the remains of an alluvial plain. Clean, well established campsites that are well looked after but also respected by the campers. Enjoy.

Never skip the kettles. Be prepared for some steep hills but the views are breathtaking no matter which part you find yourself at. You can find all sorts of wild edibles out there depending on the time of year. Just be careful during hunting season

Awesome place to visit. We visited during fall and camped overnight. Campgrounds are beautiful specially the ones by the lake. Restrooms are decent, and there are ample of shower rooms.

My first time to northern kettle. I did a two day 40 miles section of the Ice Age Trail. Colors were popping. Trails were nicely maintained. All good.

Beautiful park with tons of stuff to do. The Ice Age trail is always cool to learn about and explore!!! 99% of the park is dog friendly (on-leash), and Pike Lake is warm and perfect this time of year. Our entire family had a blast and as long as you pack a lunch, you can make an entire day out of this adventure!!!
