It’s an astonishing place. The owner is a great musician who plays and sings and invites all to join in. He cooks and invites people to eat the fish he catches daily. It’s hard to leave the island because people just want to be here all the time. Much love and props to you Jong.
If you’re in Koh Kood and wondering where the magic happens after dark, this place is an absolute must. Don’t judge it by the roadside view — it’s a classic “trust the stairs” situation. Head up and you’ll find yourself in the most laid-back, bohemian hideaway, buzzing with warmth, laughter, and instant friendships. Seating is delightfully unconventional: bean bags, carpets, and tiered padded floors, all wrapped in a proper hippy-pad vibe that practically begs you to kick off your shoes and stay awhile. The bar itself is fully stocked and brilliantly runs on an honesty box system — no staff, just you, a clearly priced menu, and your conscience. We happily overpaid for our drinks out of sheer appreciation for what was being offered. And what is being offered? Pure joy. By day, the owner is a local fisherman working with his family. By night, he transforms into the heart and soul of this place, hosting an unforgettable jam session. The bar is lined with musical instruments, and guests are encouraged to jump in — and wow, the talent that turns up! When we visited, there were some seriously impressive musicians and vocalists, and the host himself is phenomenal. Once you’re in, you’re in. The atmosphere pulls you along, the music flows, and before you know it you’re thinking, “Just one more song…” Spoiler: you won’t want to leave. Just take care navigating the stairs on the way down — they can feel a bit adventurous after such a good night. Highly recommended. Utterly brilliant.

This is the place you want to spend a nice late evening after a nice day at the beach. A relaxed, pleasant atmosphere with live music and good drinks and great people. After a few seconds you feel at home there. You have to experience this place at least once on the island.
I highly recommend this place if you visit Koh Kood — you must come here! At first, it might feel a bit odd since everything is self-service: you grab your own drinks or even make your own cocktail, and then pay by yourself. But once the singer starts performing, you'll feel the amazing vibes and super chill energy. No one stands out alone; everyone here is part of the experience. The people are so friendly and kind, and you'll feel like this is your home. They might even invite you to join their dinner, which, to be honest, is absolutely delicious. I'll definitely come back again. ❤️❤️❤️ I've never seen a bar like this anywhere in the world. It's one of a kind, and I believe that if you come, it will be a valuable experience for you.
