Went there yesterday because I was really excited to try their highly praised MCC. What a fantastic experience! Tried their 2019 BdB which was as excellent as the 18 and 17 vintages must have been. Truly extraordinary. I loved the food, too, and service was fantastic! What a beautiful afternoon in this charming courtyard!
This was one of the best experiences I’ve had at a wine farm. The food was delicious and satiating. The atmosphere is lovely and welcoming and the staff are amazing, attentive and professional. I’d like to personally thank Shaun as well as our lovely waiter Evan. Because of them I’d definitely be back here the next chance I get!
We enjoyed the Cellar Collection wine tasting, which was superb as well as a delicious platter from their SALT Restaurant. Myburgh's service was excellent and Dylan a gracious host. The rain came pouring down, but the fire and welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home.
Spent the most incredible time at Waterford over the last 3 days. Each experience was amazing. The attention to detail and excellent service made it a wonderful getaway. The staff are all friendly and very knowledgeable about all aspects of the wine and farm life. The Wine Safari was a highlight with insightful information shared by Luke and made for an amazing afternoon adventure. We will definitely recommend this to our friends. Also dont leave without a bottle of Rose-Mary. Now comes in a magnum. The perfect wine to share with friends.
Visiting Waterford was like taking a vacation in Tuscany 😍 I tried their “Cellar Collection” experience which was an exclusive vertical tasting plus cellar tour. With this experience, I got to compare past and present vintages of the same wine, side by side. The oldest vintage being a 2011 “The Gem” which was exceptional 😍 This experience is R595 per person and lasts about 60 - 90 Min. The platter was extra at R385. I love the aesthetic of this estate and the red wines are Stellenbosch greats!🍷
