Lovely property with a gorgeous patio. The wines were delightful with "the mint" Cabernet being my favorite. My tasting guide, Stephanie, played some games with me to guess some of the wines blind. Highly recommend.

From the start, I knew this was a special place. I was recommended to come here by a friend, and she was spot on! Gorgeous views, relaxed vibe under the wooden dak, tasting an incredible selection of wines. Our host Elsebie was a star, and she totally sold me on the Thelema The Mint cab sav. Definitely on my go to list.

We visited Thelema Wine Estate as part of a complimentary tasting from our lodge and absolutely loved it. We chose the premium wine flight, which included six wines — each one thoughtfully presented and delicious in its own way. Our favorite was definitely the Eucalyptus Cabernet Sauvignon, which perfectly captured the character of the estate. We also added a cheese plate, which paired beautifully with the tasting and made the experience feel even more relaxed and complete. The setting itself is stunning — surrounded by mountain views and vineyards that make you want to linger all afternoon. But the true star of the day was Daisy, the friendly winery dog, who warmly greeted everyone and made her rounds hoping for a piece of cheese. She brought such a charming and welcoming touch to the visit. Overall, Thelema is a must-stop for anyone in the Stellenbosch area — gorgeous property, excellent wines, and an experience that feels both elegant and down-to-earth. Highly recommend!

I have been here a few times , as part of the Stellenbosch Wine Society and just on my own. Each time has been fantastic, with great staff and great wine. If the weather permits , do sit outside with that fantastic view, or enjoy the fireplace in the winter.

Dreamlike! Beautiful winery with picturesque views. We did a wine tasting (white and red) here at the end of March 2023. The location of the terrace and the wines were wonderful. We were served competently and provided with brief concise information about the wines. Sommelière Crescenda even surprised us with expertise and comparisons to German wines. All in all a great experience.
