10/10 experience, from scenery going there, to the aesthetics of the place in general, to the service from when you walk in to when you walk back out, the food, the wine, the vibes… a 10👌🏽.

Oh what a pleasure to visit the estate! Top class service from the door, servers and spectacular wine. I loved the dessert and sparkling wine. The entire experience is worth it! Beautiful, clean aesthetics decor and during the heat it’s well air conditioned. Top 2 and not number 2 😊

Quoin Rock is a standout destination in the Knorhoek Valley near Stellenbosch, offering high-class hospitality and world-class wines in a stunning setting framed by the Simonsberg mountains. The warm, professional service from the moment you arrive makes every guest feel well looked after; from the knowledgeable wine ambassadors during tastings to the attentive staff in the wine lounge and restaurant. The estate produces a range of exceptional wines, including elegant reds, crisp whites, rosé and method-cap classique. The wine tasting experience is thoughtfully curated, with plenty of options to suit both newcomers and seasoned oenophiles. Quoin Rock’s fine dining options deserve special mention. The contemporary Gåte restaurant thoughtfully pairs dishes with estate wines, showcasing local flavours with a refined touch. We had a platter which was delightful. A few practical tips: there’s plenty of parking on the estate, but it’s wise to book tastings or dining reservations in advance, especially on weekends, as it’s a popular stop on the Winelands circuit. While the overall experience is exceptional, note that pricing leans toward the upper end : the premium quality is evident, but wine and meals can be pricey compared to other estates in the region. This is reflected in the estate’s focus on a luxury experience rather than budget tasting. A bit of history: Quoin Rock has deep historic roots as a traditional South African wine estate, but its modern identity was shaped with the restoration led by the Gaiduk family from 2012 onward. Over the years the property has been transformed into a contemporary boutique estate that blends heritage with elegant architecture and top-tier hospitality.

Beautiful setting with wines, service and food to match! Absolutely loved this wine tasting - decided on the MCC and White options given the stunningly gorgeous day! Delightful! Loved each of the MCC and sweet style too. The platter for one was incredible - meats and cheeses top quality and the pesto best ever! Our server was great too! Location is stunning an absolute must if you’re visiting the cape winelands! Definitely book ahead weekends x
