Our Stellenbosch wine estate features a restaurant in a stately manor house
One of the best wine tasting experiences I've ever had. We had Fresh food & slow wine pairing and Cheese & wine pairing. Nice wine, tasty food, beautiful views, cosy place, good loyalty programm, polite and friendly staff+kind ginger cat.
Beautiful buildings and lovely red wines, but the food and wine pairing was mediocre. The samoosa was soft (it should be crispy ...) and the supposed hint of liquorice on the malva pudding was so much of a hint that it wasn't noticeable. The best food item was the chicken kebab. Overpriced and not worth the drive. The host wasn't easy to understand, which would really be a problem for foreigners. The complimentary glass of MCC was a nice touch. Wouldn't recommend this. Perhaps their other tasting offerings are better.
Welcoming, comfortable, indoor fire, one of the best cheese & charcuterie board and the best red wines in the area. Our waitress was amazing, free glass of bubbles for our 25th wedding anniversary (we got married at Neethlinghof).
I was looking for a vegan winery for a wine tasting and finally found it here. They even provided vegan canapés to complement the wines, as well as a vegan platter afterwards. You could tell they had put in the effort. Vegan food should definitely be mentioned in advance when booking. The staff is very courteous and friendly.
It is a wonderful experience tasting very good quality and somewhat interesting varient wines. Had to buy the cab. The wine tasting was conducted by a very friendly and knowledgeable employee, Robin. Ask for the chocolate pairing. The estate was clean and well looked after. They also offen an non alcoholic juice and snack pairing for children. Would definitely visit again.
