Lovely place with a great atmosphere. We were warmly welcomed and really enjoyed the starters, which made for a promising start to the experience. Unfortunately, things took a turn when our mains arrived. I ordered the Sunday roast, but it came out cold and was quite underwhelming. It could have been much more enjoyable if it had been served hot. We also had the lamb ribs, which were divine, but the sirloin was disappointing chewy, tough, and not what we expected from a sirloin. We didn’t get a chance to raise these issues at the time because service became quite limited. There was a function happening inside, and it felt like most of the staff’s attention shifted there. It would have been helpful to be informed about the function when we made the booking, as we might have chosen to visit on a quieter day. Another downside was the bathrooms. They are unisex, which is fine, but they were not well maintained there was tissue all over the floor, and cleanliness wasn’t being monitored. Overall, it’s a lovely spot with friendly staff and a lot of potential, but the experience didn’t quite live up to expectations due to the cold food and inconsistent service. I would consider visiting again, just under different circumstances.

Just wanted to write a quick review to say that we randomly found this cafe during our stay in stellanbosh and went there EVERYDAY for breakfast as it was just outstanding. The coffee and food - we tried as much of the menu as we could - was just amazing, incredible location and surroundings, very attentive staff and so reasonable. The French toast and mascarpone plus omelette and trout croissant a highlight. Highly recommend

Very tasty bistro style food, I chose the Parisian Gnocchi, with artichoke, tomato and aubergine. They were very good, light and fluffy gnocchi I chose a glass of the rosé to go with my lunch on a very warm day It was quite noisy as there were some big groups in, but I think that was unusual It’s worth going for a wine tasting either before or after lunch

Flipping fantastic - very rare 5 stars. I had the lamb ribs. Wow. Probably best in CPT. Other meals were all good but mine was spectacular. Great puds. Choc Mouse great. Pecan pie a winner. Staff lovely. It was packed but the service was good. Friendly and homely. Manager keeping involved. I watched a few really large tables being served efficiently. Definitely recommend.
