I’m in two minds about this place. My husband and I went for brunch on the 4th of July at 12:02 - Food was great and all modifications were done perfectly by the kitchen (im pregnant and asked for my bacon to be well well done and the egg to be Welldone and scrambled rather than poached). Problem is - service. There was a lady on duty and one male. She was super cute, but unfortunately she wasn’t our server. If the man helping us said 10 words the entire time, it was a lot! With that, he also started giggling and pulled a face when I asked for the modifications to my dish. So obvious that I later had to ask him “is everything Oky?”. Making a guest feel stupid for asking that what she’s paying for is what she’s able to eat does not sit right with me. Even though food was lovely, do I really want to come back and experience this again…

I enjoyed my time yesterday a lot! The waiters were super kind and attentive! Nice Rooibos Tea and Chocolate croissant 🥐🥰 Amazing service! 😻 The place is neat, quiet and nice for studying ☺️ The Mocha To Go was also very good!! Not too sweet! 🙏🏾

We loved it here! The food and drinks were delicious! We had pesto toast, yogurt bowl, farmer breakfast and green omelet!! The service was also super good!

Liked the atmosphere. But for the prices the portions are small. The Strawberry cold Matcha tasted sour and the matcha powder was not dissolved well. They were kind enough to replace it with another drink. The Chai latte was too sweet for me. The waitress made a mistake with one of the orders but they did replaced it with the original order. She also didn’t ask if we want it with muffin or sourdough. The place has inside and outside seating.

While walking around central Stellenbosch, at the spur of the moment, my wife and I decided to pop into Hygge Hygge for a cocktail. Both our cocktails were tasty, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. We didn't try any food, so I can't comment on the menu, but the service was overall good during our visit. If you are planning on visiting, they do offer both indoor and outdoor seating options, which is great for any weather. It's a good spot for a drink, and the other patrons looked to be enjoying their food, so overall a restaurant worth checking out.
