Had a lovely experience at Giovanni's at JC Le Roux. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, the drinks were refreshing, and the atmosphere was relaxed and elegant. A perfect spot for a date or a leisurely lunch with beautiful views. Definitely worth a visit!

My partner (Franklin) booked this experience for my birthday, and it started off wonderfully. We did the wine pairing (chocolate and biltong), which was absolutely amazing—10/10. Abby and the other gentleman assisting us were fantastic, and their service alone deserves 5 stars. We enjoyed it so much that we even purchased two bottles. We then had a 3pm reservation at the restaurant. As soon as we were seated, we ordered drinks, starters, and mains since the restaurant was quite busy. Unfortunately, this is where the experience fell short. I ordered the baby chicken with a side salad, but the dish was disappointing—the rosemary was overpowering and ruined the balance of flavors. My partner had the lamb shank, which was advertised as being served with a red wine and rosemary jus. However, it tasted nothing like that; instead, it had a bland tomato purée flavor with very little depth. The mash was also not properly prepared, as there were still chunks of potato in it. Additionally, we requested water when we were seated, but it only arrived with our food. Overall, while the wine pairing experience was exceptional, the food was disappointing. I would rate the food 5/10, but the wine pairing remains a highlight at 10/10.

Beautiful setup with beautiful views. The staff were amazing, the food, from starters to mains (didn't have any space left for dessert), were world-class! Reasonably priced, high quality food options. A must visit!

Exceptional – From the moment we walked in, Lucina Di Giovanni Restaurant provided an exceptional experience. The ambiance was inviting, the service impeccable, and the food was absolutely divine. A true culinary masterpiece. Highly recommended for anyone seeking perfection.

Food was really good and great value for money. Nice area for kids to play and service was excellent. The cocktails with the Popsicles were a real hit. Our bill was about R1200, which my father in law insisted on paying. He was visiting and stays in a small town. I noticed he gave the waiter a R50 tip, which the waiter graciously accepted with a smile. I went up to the waiter later and added to the tip and had a good laugh with them.
