The location is what you pay for at this restaurant. The service was fast but almost to the point where we felt rushed, eventhough the restaurant wasn't full. The food played it very safe with the beef's "peperonata" sauce tasting like straight-up ketchup which made me feel like it was made for a 5 year olds palate and not worth the price. The lamb dish was pleasant but the plating muddled the flavors. The dessert was the best part of the meal, with a surprisingly delicious stout gelato element amongst the chocolate notes. Beautiful property and friendly staff but overpriced and unimaginative food.

Excellent food and service.Delaire Graff delivers a truly elevated dining experience, combining stunning vineyard views with refined, beautifully executed cuisine. Every dish is thoughtful and elegant, perfectly reflecting the estate’s attention to detail. The service is exceptional—warm, polished, and seamless from start to finish. The sommelier enhances the experience with expert guidance and perfectly chosen pairings, while the wines themselves, crafted by winemaker Morné Very, are outstanding and expressive. With its combination of great service, remarkable wines, and breathtaking setting, Delaire Graff stands out as a must-visit destination in Stellenbosch

The hostess seated us at a table in the back even though we were among the first guests to arrive. We asked to sit at one of the tables in the front with a view, she said they were "pre booked". However, during our entire visit three of those tables remained empty, which was frustrating. I mentioned when booking that we would only stay for two hours, but the food took a long time to arrive and when it did, it was cold. I still ate mine, but my friend’s food was not only cold but overdone, so she sent it back. The manager came to the table and instead of correcting the issue, there was a discussion about what qualifies as medium rare or rare, with no apology. That was unnecessary. It would have been better to prepare the food correctly in the first place. Her food came back quickly but it was still slightly cold, she did not want to continue arguing so we just finished and left. The service at the tasting room is much better than the service at the restaurant. The management and service are not well balanced. Some staff are very nice while others come across as forward or obnoxious, which makes the experience inconsistent. Seemed like you treat tourists better than locals! When we left, the hostess and the manager did not say goodbye. They ignored us and we walked out without anyone acknowledging us. It is a beautiful place, but if you charge premium prices the food and service should match that standard. The food should be excellent and served at the correct temperature. Please pay more attention to detail and do better.

AVERAGE AND OVER-PRICED This has a beautiful setting and the ambience of the building is very good But this all flatters to deceive, and the reviews are full of customers blinded by the glamour and marketing Having eaten in very many high-end establishments around the world from New York, to Spain, London and Paris etc, I'm not as gullible Ok, the food: Oysters - fine, decent size and flavour, nothing special but massively over-priced - R75 each 🤣 Ridiculous Starters - ok, but nothing memorable. Over-priced Mains - beef was tender and tasty but by South African standards, nothing special. The antelope was dry and not tender - a big disappointment The manager asked us how our meal was going, and we told him about the antelope. He said he'd get the chefs to prepare one for him so he could try it Presumably the customer's word isn't evidence 😌 Paid the bill with an already added R350 gratuity ($22) The manager said good evening to us as we left. I reminded him that he was going to get a piece of the antelope cooked to check. I asked if he had. He said yes and agreed with me about it's poor texture He hadn't re-visited us at table and made no offer of item substitution or refund. I doubt he actually did try it to be honest, but the main point was that he wasn't interested at all when the customer told him the antelope was tough and dry. Big mark-down on customer service So it's a decent restaurant with 'nice' food. There is no awesome cheffing going on here, though it's competent It's a typical high-end tourist trap, living off the hype and ambiance, but massively over-priced for the quality No enforced dress standards to match the ambience - some people in t shirts, shorts and flip-flops. They just want your money 💰 Just go to one of the many other Stellenbosch restaurants for a better meal at half the price 😌 👍🏻👍🏻

One of the most beautiful panoramic restaurants on earth! The view on the Stellenbosch valley is breathtaking. The service is very attentive and polite both playful. When talking about the food you’d better order some veggie or beef but not seafood. As for the wines I prefer sparkling so the local MCC (Graff’s) is just incredible. *reservation is mandatory but if you’re in two you have a chance to enter and be seated. In any case there’s a spacious testing room nearby which operates without reservations.
