When booking through Dineplan, you have the option to add special requests or notes. I mentioned that we were celebrating my husband's birthday yesterday, and De Vier genuinely went the extra mile to make it special. It got me thinking... when last did a restaurant surprise you with a thoughtful touch like that? The food was incredible, the service was exceptional, and those extra birthday details made all the difference. It's the little things that leave a lasting impression, and we'll definitely be back.

One of the best places I've visited. The customer service was fantastic, the atmosphere was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious. I thank the chef for the exceptional food. I'm not exaggerating; it was my best night out as a solo traveler.

Amazing service, hospitality and food. Attention to tiny details makes the difference. The wine was served at the perfect temperature and my fillet on the bone was to perfection. Well done. Wish you all the success.

Easily the best food experience we've had in Stellenbosch, so much so that we tried to go back two nights later, but it was Christmas Eve and they had closed for the year. The hoisin calamari was crunchy on the outside, and buttery soft in the inside. The sirloin with chimichurri was succulent and had so much flavour. We then had the hake and chips and the chicken lemon risotto - outstanding and very generous portions. The dessert was slightly underwhelming, but they still get 5 stars as the food was just so good. The restaurant is on a quiet street with a little stream running past and people walking home, which was such a refreshing change from the hustle and bustle of Joburg. A must visit!

An elegant, well appointed space. A simple menu, food is well seasoned and bursting with great flavours - an absolute joy. Risotto a tad overcooked but easily forgiven as it’s rich, creamy and delicious. My pick of the night would be the fillet on the bone with peppercorn sauce.
