Probably the most kid friendly winery in stellenbosch! Plenty of kid amenities including 2 massive playgrounds and a pumptrack. Wines are excellent too - did the 6 glass tasting. Pizza was alright.

Had a great tasting here! They take pride in the unique grapes they have and genuinely it was some of the best wine ive had in a long time. The sommelier was well trained and provided a lovely experience, balancing education and fun, which was great as sometimes tastings can become a tad pretentious. The atmosphere inside is certainly sophisticated and elegant but still warm enough to feel comfortable. There’s also an outside section with a jungle jim which would be great if you have kids

We did a wine tasting at Blaauwklippen today and it was a great experience! It being the middle of the week definitely meant that it was a lot quieter than on a weekend which was really nice, we didn’t have a booking and there was still plenty of space. We had the wine and pizza pairing, the wine and arancini pairing and the wine and cheesecake pairing, which were all very good. Especially the truffle and oxtail arancini and the original cheesecake stood out, as well as the Chenin Blanc and the De Blaauwe Klip! There are also alcohol free alternatives available, which was really nice. The White Twinkle Tizer was absolutely delicious and we even bought 2 bottles to take home. We will definitely come back!

We stayed at Blaauwklippen Manor House in a deluxe room over Valentine’s weekend, and unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations—especially given the high price point. The beautiful restoration and renovation of the historic Manor House is truly impressive. After the devastating fires a couple of years ago, the team has done an outstanding job bringing this heritage property back to life with thoughtful attention to detail in the architecture, interiors, and overall ambiance. The deluxe room itself felt elegant and comfortable, with its classic four-poster bed, tasteful decor, and peaceful setting. However, beyond the stunning building and grounds, almost everything else was disappointing for a luxury stay marketed at this level—particularly for a romantic Valentine’s getaway. There was no turn-down service in the evenings, the fresh flowers in the room weren’t replaced during our stay, and nothing special was arranged for guests to mark Valentine’s Day—no small gestures, complimentary touches, or festive elements to make it feel celebratory. We had hoped for something thoughtful, but it felt like any other weekend. Breakfast service was painfully slow; it took a full 45 minutes to receive our hot breakfast, and unfortunately, my partner ended up with an upset stomach afterward, which put a damper on the rest of the day. When we checked out, no staff offered to help with our luggage, despite it being a premium property where such assistance is standard. The one bright spot was Reagan, the barman in the pool room—he was exceptional, friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome during our time there.

This place was buzzing with people walking around the markets, bars and restaurants filled with a steady stream of patrons and kids playing at the park or at their little enclosed circuit. We were here to try their wines so we took four different options; 1683, the arancini pairing as well as the pizza pairing and premium pairing. The staff were all polite and charming. The wines were great. All truly amazing.
