Beautiful rolling lawn, with view of surrounding mountains. Large farm house with comfortable rooms.

Attended Boney M yesterday. The attendance T&Cs stated clearly that if you bring a high chair or umbrella you would be moved to the back. Instead as soon as the concert started everyone rushed to stand in front of the stage spoiling the viewing for anyone seated. It would not have been difficult for the organizers to ask people to sit down. I saw one very elderly couple seated quite close to the stage that were surrounded by standing fans and had to take their chairs and move further back.

This was my husband and my first trip away with our new pup and all of us had the time of our lives. The fenced in villa was perfect for a pup who is not off her leash yet and snoozing in front of the warm fire was a real treat! Everything was spotless and exploring the farm was really fun. We will for sure be back!

We came from Europe in 2019, and for some reason we ended up in Stanford. When we got our golden retriever Luca, Stanford Hills was the place to go to more or less every single day. Back in the days, our Luca enjoyed free ranging and swimming the dams of the estate. When covid hit, this was the place where you could still feel a sense of freedom amid all that madness. We will always be grateful for that. In the meantime, new signs are up. Now, it seems, you get fined R500 for walking your dog off the leash. A protective measure for the ducks that have taken over the place. Nevertheless, it is still a most beautiful place. And the restaurant with its view over the landscape - and the cheese platter with a pristine glass of white wine - and the open-air concerts – superb. I will always remember all of it very fondly. Definitely a five-star experience.
