Overall, this is a place I really wanted to love. The setting and atmosphere are genuinely beautiful, and the wine tasting experience itself was enjoyable and well put together. However, the service left a disappointing impression—one word that describes it well is unprofessional. First, we were seated outside and waited for about 20 plus minutes without anyone coming to assist us, even though staff clearly saw us. In the end, we had to go inside and place our order ourselves. That shouldn’t happen in a place of this standard. Minus 1 star Second, when we asked for a bag for a cutting board we purchased, we were told there were no large bags available—which was fine. But later, when I asked for a smaller bag (after seeing other customers receive bags for wine bottles), the response from a female staff member who appeared to be a supervisor or in a leading role was abrupt and dismissive: “no smaller bag, no smaller bag,” repeated without explanation. That interaction made the experience feel uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I can’t say for certain why, but it did leave me wondering whether I was being treated differently based on how I look. I hope that’s not the case, but it’s how the situation came across. Minus 1 star (perhaps should be 2) While the location and wine are strong positives, the service experience did not match the setting. I hope this is something that can be improved, as it detracts from what could otherwise be a great visit.
