We had our wedding here and couldn't have asked for anything better! Megan and the team were amazing in coordinating the venue exactly as we pictured it. The food was lovely, with good portion sizes that everyone was happy with. We stayed in the Manor House which was very picturesque and well looked after. We will be looking for excuses to come back and relive the special day every time we're in the area.

I had the best time here for a family stay / wedding weekend! Amazing views, awesome garden. The food was divine, wine tasting just as good. Staff friendly and accommodating and a whole padel court! I also want to say thank you to the entire team who took care of us even when we insisted on dancing the night away, way past the time that we should have! Everything was just so special. Thank you for some really cool and cherished memories! I was truly spoilt.

At the last minute we decided to head to Avontuur Wine Estate for some lunch (we had been at the nursery across the road) and it was one of the best decisions we have made in some time. We did not have a reservation but were seated fast and with a smile by the very helpful team on duty. At the table we were helped during lunch service by Everencia and she was EXCELLENT. Always smiling, very helpful with suggestions and always attentive. We talked with her a bit about her past experiences and it soon became clear why she was able to anticipate our needs and ‘read the room’ when looking at the tables on the terrace. Thank you Everencia. Food wise we’d recommend the West Coast Sole - it was very good! Accompanied by the Avontuur Chardonnay. We tried glasses of both the Chardonnay and the Sauvignon Blanc and my wife and I both preferred the Chardonnay. The rest of the food was great too but for the kids the Fried Ice Cream was a clear winner! Again very good. We will be back as it is such a nice place to stop in at - great view, great service, great food, great wine. Easy really.

Choosing Avontuur was the absolute best decision for our wedding. The space is so lovely, and the staff truly makes the experience exceptional. Craig, Tanaka, and Priscilla were wonderful. They made us feel supported and welcome throughout the entire weekend. Their attentiveness ensured everything ran smoothly. The manor house was impeccable, offering a comfortable retreat. The breakfast was amazing every morning—a much-needed fuel during the wedding preparations. This team delivers on all fronts. We had our wedding ceremony on the Manor House steps and the reception under a tent on the front lawns. It was genuinely a dream -- the horses, the wine, the views, the people! I couldn't be happier with my wedding weekend at Avontuur.

Avontuur was our first dinner in South Africa together with friends, and it was fantastic. The service was outstanding and so kind, attentive, and genuinely friendly. It was a real pleasure. The rosé from the estate was delicious, and the food was incredibly tasty. Highly recommended.
