Booked and paid for tasting and charcuterie booards for 15 people. Took 30 min to bring out the pre chosen and paid for drinks and boards. They made almost zero accomodation for my vegetarian guests - apparently they asked for grapes. Brought out one tasting board short and only noticed when we told them. My bill was less than the deposit paid in the end so I felt some accomodations could have been made, waiter got a healthy tip for bad service. We were sung to, but would have appreciated just someone ontop of our booking and more accommodating.

Fantastic wine tasting - great food (for the love of god taste the oysters ). They’re divine. Thank you Mercia for being such a lovely host / showing off the brand. You’re a natural, and made the experience outrageously positive . From Italy to Japan, Taiwan, East / West coast of Canada , Caribbean… and the Mediterranean, this regions oysters are 1 micrometer short of crack cocaine. Unbelievable. Great job to the team , and please keep the spirits alive regardless of the tourist influx . The staff are the first and last line if defence ! 🥂

Great hostess! Personable Jacquline, good knowledge of wines and recommendations. Enjoy a paired wine tasting. From oysters and Brut to charcuterie boards and wines. You can also order a glass of wine and enjoy the scenery. Lovely garden to wonder in

It’s not as if you need my endorsement for this stunning estate and wine farm. What a beautiful spot & experience! Excellent service, delicious wine, and tasty snacks. We didn’t have a reso at the restaurant but the bread & samosas were generous portions and very yummy.

Stopped by for a wine tasting as part of the Franschhoek wine tram (orange line). The estate is vast and you could easily spend an entire day here. We only came for a quick tasting and a stroll across the grounds. The wine tasting was fine. The view of the garden was beautiful. However it was not quite as good as tastings we had at other wine estates where we got more of a story and history around the wines as well as (I thought) better wines. I would recommend not visiting this estate as part of the wine tram but rather schedule a longer visit where you can peacefully explore everything they have to offer including hiking and mountain biking trails.
